July 26, 1963 - Mantle stands on the sidelines and watches his Yankee teammates work out prior to a night game with the Minnesota Twins. Mantle took 30 minutes batting practice and jogged in the outfield. Stiil unsure of when he will return to the lineup due to a loosening of the cartilage around his left knee. He would be re-activated on August 4 in Baltimore and deliver a pinch-hit home run.
