A.J. entered the Daytona 500 28 times between 1963 and 1992, winning the race in 1972 in the famous No. 21 Wood Brothers Mercury. A.J. won 67 Indy Car races in his career, is one of only three drivers to win the Indy 500 four times (1961, 1964, 1967, 1977), and he remains the only driver in history to win the Indianapolis 500, Daytona 500, the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
